Crappy day today, however the Pistons did actually surprise me and take care of business last night in sending the Magic home in 5. Didn't see that one coming.....and apparently neither did my video capture machine which once again failed to start when programmed therefore forcing me to again only catch the last quarter of a game. Goddamn technology sucks sometimes. The shit's binary for God's sake...it's either on or off...how in the hell do you just work one day and take a shit the next?

Is it just me or does anyone else wonder how a goddamned computer, which should the most consistent thing on earth because all it has to do is follow a linear set of instructions...is more inconsistent than humans who screw things up all the time? Hell, I have family I can't count on for shit, but I damn sure know I can count on them to be obnoxious, loud, late, or any other number of things that would make a computer pale in comparison with regard to consistency.

1st things 1st, Obama is kicking Hillary Clinton's ass.

It's no more evident than in the complete and utter venom that Bill Clinton took to Obama with in order to back his wife. You don't get that pissed at someone in your own party unless you are being torched/embarrassed.

One of the things I love the most is how the Obama haters never seem to be able to give him credit for anything other than essentially being the flavor of the month. Look, the flavor of the month doesn't get elected to president....they get a TV show that fails.

I love how major news outlets seem to never have Obama on top of the battle. No matter how many states he cleans Clinton's clock in, Clinton always seems to be in the lead. Nevermind the couple thousand delegates, Obama is clearly winning, yet every report (until today) would insist that Hillary was winning even when she clearly wasn't.

Apparently after this weekend's sweep of the handful of easter coastal states the message has been sent quite clear and even now the Obama haters are spinning every loss for Clinton as somehow evidence that Obama will lose steam. Are you kidding me? Only in America can we turn consistent losses into some kind of positive advantage for the LOSER.

Simply Amazing.

Face it. America looks as though it has had it with the status quo and Clinton appears to be more of the same ol Washington politics that have led to our current political status in this country. If you are wealthy, things are great. If you're not, so what, screw you. You aren't wealthy, you don't deserve to have things go well for you anyway. Grab those bootstraps beeyatch.

It's getting so bad, that Clinton has resorted to promising a jump in the minimum wage.

Really?

Come talk to me when you have plans to make the minimum wage something I could rent an apartment with....loser.

Just one year ago I stated this country would never elect a Black president. I may be in the process of being proven wrong...

...and I wouldn't be more happy to be wrong for once.

The Big Man Goes West Again.

Well, well, well. Once again, an NBA team has decided to ship the most dominant big man in the game away in hopes of building around another Jordan figure.

I'm completely amazed at the NBA GM's ability to so quickly toss aside the presence of a solid center year after year after year. At least this time there is a general consensus that the "star" is not to blame. No body holds Wade responsible for the deterioration of the Miami Heat. Unlike Kobe Bryant, Wades displeasure was at least masked by his thinly veiled commentary, Fav Five spots, and being wheeled off the court, in tears, in a wheelchair a la James Brown's famous "cape" performance after a shoulder injury.

Granted, O'Neal has had his share of injuries and slow starts, but in my opinion, he takes more physical punishment night in and night out than any other NBA player in history and should be granted some leeway when he decides to take it easy for a summer. Additionally, America has seemed to develop an America's Next Top Model approach to weight in all facets of public life. True, America is the heaviest country as of late due to our obsession with ridiculously unhealthy food, however, Shaq is nowhere near the Oliver Miller of the present day NBA. People just need to get off of it.

However, obese you believe Mr. Fu to be, being anywhere in close proximity to him would prove otherwise. But, as most people seem to believe, if you say it enough times it must be true.

With that in mind, the PHX Suns just upped their chances exponentially to head to the NBA Finals. Dallas is still too soft and inconsistent. Whatever you think, Pau Gasol is not nearly enough to get the Lakers past San Antonio. Feel free to believe the hype and the Showtime nostalgists if you like. And Utah has managed to gracefully regress, unbelievably.

However, the one thing that kept PHX from advancing, they have just acquired. PHX now has an ability to exist in the half court and are now no longer forced to fast break their way to wins in the postseason. As we all know, the transition buckets often dry up in the playoffs and only the Showtime Lakers seemed to be immune to it. That doesn't happen by mistake. When you have Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and James Worthy on your roster, there's a good chance that teams will not be able to stop you from getting fast break points.

So, now that the Suns have THE big man inside, you can believe they will be handing out full doses of double barreled fun for everyone this postseason. Keep in mind that San Antonio will not be taken down easily, but if there is one team prepared to do so, PHX is game. Unfortunately for the offense worshipers, Kobe will not be going back to the Big Dance, especially if they have to go through the Valley of the Sun.

Get ready world, The Phoenix Suns just might make it happen. That's right Sir Charles. You better get ready to put Steve Nash in your Fav Five.

Screw you AND your pizza

** FOUL LANGUAGE ALERT **

OK, so today I order a Pizza for deliver from an unnamed pizza chain -papa johns-. Naturally after placing an online order I get an email confirmation that lets me know my order will be ready in approximately 30-40 min. Cool.

Now, this is the Sunday I decide to invite my life long friend (who I just discovered was living in the same city not quite a mile from me) over to watch the Pistons play Charlotte.

OK, so I place the order 3/4 through the 2nd Qtr thinking, hey, the pizza will be here some time after half time during the 3rd Qtr...no problem.

Unfortunately an hour goes by and....no pizza. So, of course I pick up the phone to call said unnamed pizza joint to inquire as to the whereabouts of my order. They tell me...'Delivery time is about an hour.' So, naturally, my response is, 'That's not what your email says.'

Then, this gem of an employee decides that she is now going to A) argue with me and B) disclose that they don't send out that email, it comes from their corporate operations who have no knowledge of their delivery times. Oh really? My next suggestion was that they should call their customers and inform them of the change in delivery time to which she responded, 'Well, we can't call you to let you know when your delivery time is because we're busy here.' Unfortunately, reason was not to be victorious as I attempted to explain to the mouth breather on the other end of the phone that maybe they should let their customers know that their pizza is A) not going to be there when they are told and B) when they should actually expect their $50 order to arrive.

Needless to say, my sanity reminded me that I was talking to a pizza shop employee and I promptly hung up the phone with out adding further aggravation to my already hungered condition.

Icing on the cake:

Not 5 min. after I got off the phone, some heavily accented man calls me....
TO ASK DIRECTIONS!!!

This numskull was 10 mins. IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION from the pizza shop with my pizza getting frostbite waiting to get to my house. WTF??? Why the hell is my pizza going on a god damned scenic tour of the suburbs while I'm sitting at home pissed off and hungry? Tip? I'll leave you a tip: Get your heads out of your asses!

Don't send me confirmation emails that LIE to me about
when my order will be delivered

Don't fucking argue with me about it when you just told me
that email is full of shit

Let me know my god damned pizza won't be there for 20 years

and last but not least..

Don't fucking send the god damned delivery driver out with 15 pizzas and no map with a delivery schedule that looks like a fucking connect the dots puzzle.
